Keele Brass Band, the sister organisation to Keele Concert Band, is the most recent band to be established at the University. Since our formation in August 2010 the band has worked hard to present several successful concerts. In February 2011 the band competed at their first contest, travelling to Lancaster University for the Unibrass Championships. Achieving a respectable 5th place against some tough competitors was no easy feat. With this in hand the band are setting their sights further afield, aiming is to become a registered band in order to compete in the brass band world within the next year.

We are a friendly group of like-minded people who aim to achieve high musical standards whilst keeping the enjoyment of playing entertaining music intact. We keep a sensible rehearsal/performance schedule mindful of other study responsibilities. Keele University Brass band will welcome any player at any standard hoping that we can keep you performing and enjoying music throughout your University life.

This year our rehearsals will take place every Thursday evening 8:00-10:00pm in Lindsay Studio 2. On top of this we will also hold an extra monthly rehearsal taken by John Watson on a Sunday afternoon 1:00-3:00pm.
